BVM Launchpad compared: what to check before you launch

Updated 3 Nov 2026

There are three ways to launch a collection on VeChain: write and deploy a contract yourself, use a generic minting tool, or use a launchpad that is built for it. This page lists what to compare, and what the BVM Launchpad does on each point, so you can decide for yourself.

What to compare

  • Cost: what you pay to deploy and what is taken from every mint.
  • Control: who owns the contract and can you change anything after the launch.
  • Mint rules: allowlists, holder rounds, limits per wallet, rising prices and payment in tokens.
  • Reveal: can the art be hidden and drawn fairly, and can buyers verify it.
  • A mint page: countdowns, status checks for the buyer and a way to share it.
  • Trading: where the NFTs can be bought and sold once they are minted.
  • Work: how much technical knowledge and how much time it takes.

What the BVM Launchpad does

  • Cost: deploying costs the network fee; 5% of every paid mint goes to BlackVeMarket, free mints and the creator reserve carry no fee.
  • Control: each collection has its own contract, deployed from your wallet. Phases that have not started can be edited, started phases are locked.
  • Mint rules: up to 8 phases with allowlists, holder rounds, burn to mint, rising price steps and payment in VET or supported tokens.
  • Reveal: hidden or shuffled reveal with a provenance hash and an in-browser check.
  • Mint page: countdowns, a check that tells the buyer if they can mint before they sign, calendar reminders, QR code and a share post.
  • Trading: minted NFTs get a collection page on the BlackVeMarket marketplace.
  • Work: no code. You fill in a wizard and sign.

When another route can make sense

If you need contract behaviour that no launchpad offers, writing your own contract gives you full freedom, at the price of development, testing and an audit. For a single piece or a small edition, the Factory is simpler than a full collection launch.

Frequently asked questions

Is the BVM Launchpad the cheapest way to launch on VeChain?

That depends on your mint. A launch here costs the network fee plus 5% of paid mints. Compare it with the total cost of the other routes, including development time.

Do I keep control of my collection?

Yes. The contract is deployed from your wallet and belongs to your collection.
